Kim Hoang is a third year student of General Fine Arts at Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design + Media. She is currently unpurposely majoring in Drawing and Printmaking, however has experience in a large range of other mediums such as Animation, Design, Interactive Art, and some really poor Ceramics. (Hurray for General!)

Kissybook began as a class project for PRNT 313: Directed Projects in Printmaking, however it quickly grew into larger proportions and spilled over to the following term into both PRNT 317: Digital Printmaking and PRNT 303 : Directed Projects in Bookmaking. The project has also grown in size and passion for Kim, as it not only appeals to her love for comics and books, but her current interest in communal art practices, publishing, and party-throwing.

Kim's past experiences in self-publishing include working on her own books: DOUJISOUP, BAAU Down Vol 1, Go Crackers, Slam Punkz, and many various smaller projects with the Radar Friends and the Evilsmile collective. To a lesser extent you can check out her work at her personal site and her school website.
