it is a square book at 8" by 8";
it is double spined (coil bound);
there are two piles of pages that meet in the middle;
'read' non-linearly, you are encouraged to flip around;
a limited print run of 100-300 books depending on preorders;

All put together, the picture book can flipped and mix and matched, not necessarily to be read sequentially. You can match up any figure on the left to any figure on the right and they will meet, kissing. A diagram of the end product below.

Kissing is almost everywhere as a symbol for affection, yet it is flexible in its archetypal qualities that it could represent almost anything. It could be a deepthroated lick from a lover, a flirty peck from a good friend, an expression of a familial bond. It's a sign of respect, a surprise, a challenge of love, a game of risk, even a curse of death.

Yet, even more varied than the different types of kisses are the people that they happen between. So why discriminate?

Kissybook is a manifestation of this idea.
